"Breif Encounters, Gregory Crewdson 2012
Crewdson regularly closes down entire streets to produce his works, as was done for the photograph “Breif Encounters.” For this image the street was closed to traffic for the entire day to allow the snow to accumulate and the streetlights were turned off to allow the artist to control the lighting. Even the movie title on the marquee was specifically chosen for the photo.
